You love your teenager, but your relationship might not feel how you want it to right now.
You are arguing more.
You feel like you are always nagging.
They would rather be in their room than spend time with you.
And the simple things that used to make them happy or bring you closer do not seem to work anymore.
You know they are growing up, but you miss how close you used to be.
I help mums build a better relationship with their teenager so they can enjoy these years before they’re gone.
For twenty years I was a teacher, and at home I was a mum. I understood children. Or at least I thought I did.
But as my boys got older, motherhood began to feel different.
They wanted to spend less time with me. The little things that once made them happy and brought us together did not work in the same way anymore.
The decisions that once felt straightforward became harder too.
Are they ready for more freedom?
Am I being too strict or not strict enough?
Should I step in or let them work it out for themselves?
It is easy for worry and uncertainty to turn into more reminding, more explaining and more nagging. Then a conversation you hoped would help becomes another argument.
I began to realise that I did not need someone to tell me the correct way to parent.
I needed to understand what was happening for me, why I was reacting in certain ways and how I wanted to show up in my relationship with my children.
Now I help other mums do the same.
To understand what keeps happening between them and their teenager.
To feel more confident in their decisions.
To argue and nag less.
To find new ways of connecting.
And to enjoy being their mum while these years are still here.

I am not here to tell you the correct way to parent your teenager.
Your teenager, your family and your relationship are unique.
My coaching focuses on your side of the relationship.
Together, we look at what is happening for you in difficult moments, what is driving your reactions and decisions, and what you can actually control or change.
You begin to understand the patterns between you, trust yourself more and choose responses that support the relationship you want.
The aim is not a perfectly behaved teenager or a home without disagreements.
It is a relationship that can make room for boundaries, independence, honesty and connection as your teenager grows.
Your relationship with your teenager does not have to remain stuck in the same patterns.
If you want to argue less, trust your decisions more and feel closer to them, I can help you understand what is getting in the way and what you can begin to change on your side.
So you can enjoy being their mum now and build the relationship you want to have with them as they grow.
